Northstowe Development

The new town of Northstowe, is planned to the northwest of Cambridge. It will be east of Longstanton, north of Oakington and bounded by the disused Cambridge to St Ives railway line to the east. Approximately 9,500 dwellings are proposed, plus employment opportunities, a town centre, open space and a wide range of community and sports facilities.

A revised planning application, from developers Gallaghers and English Partnership, has been submitted (December 2007).

The Northstowe Area Action Plan sets out the policies against which the planning application will be determined.
