Local Development Scheme (LDS)

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out the timetable the Council will follow in its preparation and adoption of planning policy documents over a three-year period. It is reviewed annually to keep it up to date, except when it needs to be updated more urgently.

The Council agreed the Local Development Scheme 2010 - 2013 at the Planning and New Communities Joint Portfolio Holders' Meeting on 2 March 2010. The Government Office for the East of England (GO-EAST) approved the Local Development Scheme 2010 - 2013 on 31 March 2010.

LATEST NEWS

As a result of the new Government's proposals to introduce changes to the planning system (see LDF News), the timetables for the production of the Development Plan Documents (DPDs) as set out in the approved LDS have been revised. The timetables for the production of some Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) have also been revised since the LDS was approved.

Core Strategy Review	Production of the DPD is on hold until more is known about the new Governments reforms of the planning system. Work is continuing on compiling the evidence base.
Development Management DPD Review	Production of the DPD is on hold until more is known about the new Governments reforms of the planning system.
Gypsy & Traveller DPD	Production of the DPD is on hold until more is known about the new Governments reforms of the planning system.
Planning Obligations SPD	Work is continuing on compiling the evidence base that will inform the draft SPD.
Orchard Park SPD	Consultation on the draft SPD: 6 September - 18 October 2010.
Papworth West Central SPD	The timetable is currently under review.
Papworth Hospital SPD	Preparation not programmed to start until January 2012.
Health Impact Assessments SPD	Consultation on the draft SPD: October - December 2010.
Historic Landscapes, Parks & Gardens SPD	This SPD will no longer be produced.
Dwellings Associated with Rural Enterprises SPD	The timetable is currently under review.
Fen Drayton LSA SPD	Consultation on the draft SPD: October - December 2010.
