Examination into the Site Specific Policies Development Plan Document

Information for the Additional Hearings relating to the HOUSING SHORTFALL (May-July 2009)

Additional hearings relating to the recent 'Responding to a Housing Shortfall' consultation will be held on the following dates:

• 20 May 2009 - Housing Land Availability
• 21 May 2009 - Ida Darwin site, Fulbourn
• 22 May 2009 - Powell's Garage site, Great Shelford
• 27 May 2009 - NIAB site
• 1 July 2009 - Orchard Park, three sites

A revised programme listing these additional hearings, their timings and location, and the list of participants has been produced.

A Reference Documents List has been created detailing the documents expected to be referred to most frequently by participants. These documents are available to view in the Examinations Library - please contact the Programme Officer in advance to arrange a convenient time to view any of these documents. Historic information on the SITE SPECIFIC POLICIES DPD Hearings (November 2007 - May 2008)

Pre-Examination Meeting

A Pre-Examination Meeting (PEM) for the Site Specific Policies DPD was held at 2 pm on Tuesday 31st July 2007. This was a public meeting held in the Council Chamber at South Cambridgeshire Hall, Cambourne.

The PEM focussed on the procedures, timetable and deadlines for the Examination of the Site Specific Policies DPD. The agenda was published and sent to all Site Specific Policies DPD respondents. The notes of the PEM were sent to all respondents on this DPD and the associated Objection Sites Consultation and Site Allocation Policies Representations Consultation. Public Examination

The oral sessions of the Site Specific Policies DPD Examination started on Tuesday 27th November 2007. A programme for these Examination sessions was produced and revised as necessary. The first version of the programme was sent to all those who made representations on the Site Specific Policies DPD and the associated Objection Sites Consultations and Site Allocation Policies Representations Consultation.

A list of Main Matters for discussion at this Examination was prepared by the Inspectors and sent to all those who made representations on this DPD.

The guidance notes provide useful information about the facilities and arrangements for the Examinations.
