Examination into the Development Control Policies Development Plan Document

Independent examinations will be held for each of the six Development Plan Documents (DPDs) submitted in January 2006 by South Cambridgeshire District Council.

The oral sessions for the Development Control Policies DPD began on Tuesday 3rd October 2006. The last hearing was held on Thursday 18th January 2007. The Programme for these sessions is available to view on this website.

A List of Main Matters for discussion at the Development Control Policies Examination was prepared by the Inspectors. This was sent to all those who made representations on the Development Control Policies DPD and is also available on this website.

A Reference Documents List has been prepared detailing the documents expected to be referred to most frequently by participants. These documents are available to view in the Examinations Library - please contact the Programme Officer in advance to arrange a convenient time to view any of these documents. Where possible a link has been provided in the list to the electronic version of the document if available.

The Guidance Notes have already been sent to all respondents and provide useful information about the facilities and arrangements for the Examinations. Further details of the Examinations, including updates to the programme, will be posted on this site as they become available.

Pre-Examination Meeting (PEM)

A Pre-Examination meeting focussing on the Development Control Policies DPD Examination was held at 2.00 pm on Tuesday 4th July 2006. This is a public meeting and all with an interest were welcome to attend.

Purpose of the PEM

This PEM focused on the procedures, timetable and deadlines for the Examination dealing with the Development Control Policies Development Plan Document. There will be further PEMs prior to the Examinations into the remaining DPDs (Northstowe Area Action Plan, Southern Fringe Area Action Plan, Cambridge East Area Action Plan, Site Allocation Policies) and the dates for these will be publicised in advance.

The Programme Officer has sent a copy of the Notes of the PEM to all respondents to the Development Control Policies DPD and these are also available on this website.
