An appeal for a Wind Farm at Little Linton Farm, Linton has been received for the erection of 7 wind turbines and associated infrastructure. The appeal follows the non-determination of the planning application by this Council and will be decided by way of a public inquiry. The public Inquiry will also consider the refusal of a planning application for an additional wind turbine on the same site refused by Uttlesford District Council.

An Inspector has been appointed by the Secretary of State, under paragraph 1(i) of schedule 6 to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to determine this appeal.

Public Inquiry

The Inquiry is to recommence (following an adjournment) at 11.00am on Monday 6 September 2010 at the Council Offices. The inquiry is currently scheduled to sit for at least a further 8 days and will discuss evidence on matters including noise, highway safety and ecology; the need for conditions should planning permission be granted; and closing submissions by all the main parties.
