FOOD PRODUCTION AND QUALITY

At South Cambridgeshire District Council our key objective is to ensure that the food and drink sold in restaurants, takeaways, shops, pubs, hotels, food manufacturers, work canteens, street traders and made by home caterers is safe to eat and has been hygienically produced.

To achieve this we have a wide range of duties with which to safeguard the health of all the people living in, or visiting, South Cambridgeshire. The main thrust of our work is the enforcement of the Food Safety Act 1990 (This link will open in a new window).
