Design Guide
South Cambridgeshire has prepared a Design Guide for new developments in the district. This Design Guide is is subdivided into a series of sections as follows:
- Section 1 - Introduction
- Section 2 - The Design Context
- Section 3 - Larger Development Sites
- Section 4 - Smaller Scale Developments
- Section 5 - Conflict Resolution; Historical Accuracy v Building Legislation
- Section 6 - The Application Process
- Section 7 - Appendices
A consultation draft for the Design Guide was published and circulated in 2005. The consultation period concluded on 19th September 2005 and subsequently Cabinet adopted the draft (with some minor amendments) as Council Policy on 10th November 2005.

Following adoption of the LDF (Local Development Framework), which is due in spring 2007, the Design Guide will be revised in order to cross-reference it to the policies set out in the LDF. At that stage the minor amendments agreed by Cabinet will also be incorporated and the new version will then be published on the Council's website.
