Trees and Development

Background

The Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) expands on district wide Development Control Policies Development Plan Document. The purpose is to provide further guidance on accommodating, retaining and planning for trees within a proposed development small or large.

Any proposed development which may require planning permission or be allowed under permitted development rights - may impact on a tree afforded statutory protection or a tree that you wish to retain that is not afforded statutory protection.

Where planning consent is required the Trees and Landscape Officer will be consulted, however if you would like pre-application advice either contact the Trees and Landscape Officer and / or visit our Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) Trees and Development Sites page.
