New charges
On 1st October 2010, the Approved Documents (This link will open in a new window) L, F and J for insulation, ventilation and combustion appliances changed, along with restructuring of the Building Regulations charges. The charges are now structured to be clearer and reflect the level of work involved for the different types of work.
Regulation
The 'Building Regulation' activity is defined as the administrative and technical processes involved in the enforcement of statutory building standards contained within the Building Regulations and allied legislation.

- See guidance notes and application forms for information about making a building regulation application.
- Important customer information - changes to Building Regulations regarding thermal element.
There are cases where building projects also require consideration by the Council's Development Control Service or Conservation & design service and you should therefore contact them for additional information.
