Financial Reporting

In this section, you can find out about:

Annual Report

The Council's Annual Report is a key document informing electors, local taxpayers, Members of the Council and other interested parties' of the Council's financial position and the achievements we have made over the last year, against our set priorities. The Annual Report is fully integrated and flows from the Authority's Corporate Plan and our Medium Term Financial Strategy.

Budget Book

The Budget Book aims to provide financial information for the general public that is informative, well presented and easy to understand.

Capital Strategy

Capital Strategy determines the process for retaining and maintaining properties in the asset base and how capital projects are included in the capital programme in a rational and objective manner which maximises the contribution of the capital programme towards the achievement of the Council's corporate objectives.

Estimates Book & Financial Outturn

Each year the Council must decide how best to manage it's budget. An Estimates Book is published annually which details calculations and factors that determine these decisions. The Financial Outturn compares the actual expenditure for the year to the original and revised estimates.

Statement of Accounts

The purpose of the statement of accounts is to give electors, local taxpayers, members of the Council and other interested parties clear information about the Council's finances. It identifies the full income and expenditure incurred by the Council in each of its service areas.
