Statement of Accounts 2005/2006
The purpose of the published statement of accounts is to give electors, local taxpayers, Members of the Council and other interested parties' clear information about the Council's finances. The statements should inform readers of:
- the cost of services provided by the Council in the year 2005/06
- how services were paid for; and
- the Council's assets and liabilities at the year end.
These accounts are supported by appropriate notes and a statement of the accounting policies of the Council. There is also an Explanatory Forward which summarises the Council's finances in general terms.
The document is available as a summary or in full and includes:
- Statement of Responsibilities;
- Auditors Report;
- Statement on Internal Control;
- Explanatory Foreword;
- Statement of Accounting Policies;
- Consolidated Revenue Account;
- Collection Fund;
- Housing Revenue Account;
- Cash Flow Statement
- Consolidated Balance Sheet; and
- Statement of Total Movement in Reserves.
