Community Governance Review - Fen Drayton

S79 Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007

South Cambridgeshire District Council at a meeting of the Electoral Arrangements Committee on the 17th January 2011 decided to carry out a Community Governance Review on the following matter:

Fen Drayton Parish Council have requested that the number of parish councillors for their area be increased from 9 to 11. The reasons for the request can be summarised as follows:

take account of the proposed expansion of the parish in planning proposals;
ease the significant workload burden on the current Councillors with particular reference to a number of ongoing projects; and
may help to increase the possibility of representation across the Parish.

As part of the proposals the District Council having decided to carry out the review are now required to consult with all interested parties and to take the views into account before coming to a final decision.

This NOTICE is the consultation document and anyone wishing to express a view may write to us by 1st March 2011:
