With a general election due by June 2010, if you want to cast your vote in this or any other election, it's vital that your details are on the electoral register. We have recently sent a form to all South Cambridgeshire homes listing the details of the people we have registered at each property. Returning this form is the best way to make sure you can have your say on polling day.

Postal and proxy voting

You can also apply for a postal or proxy vote. Application to vote by post requires you to provide a specimen signature and your date of birth in advance of the next election. You will have to provide this information again on a security statement when returning your ballot paper. You can apply for someone to cast your vote on your behalf, providing you have completed the appropriate application form and that person meets certain criteria.
