Open Day

National Customer Service Logo 2011

Local residents were invited to find out more about how we work at our Open Day today.

We opened our doors as part of National Customer Service Week and welcomed residents in to help them understand what we provide for them and how they can make the most of our services. Whether they wanted to find out how Council committee meetings work, more about council housing, what benefits are available to them, to pick up community safety tips, ask about recycling or find out how planning decisions are made.

From 9.30am to 4.30pm our Open Day gave residents the opportunity to talk to council officers from a variety of services about how they can make the most of their council.

For those residents that cannot attend, we have published all display material from our respective service areas:

HR

Planning and New Communities

Democratic Services

Customer Services

Policy and Performance

Revs and Bens

Elections

Councillors

Environmental Services

ASB

Lifeline

Housing Development

If you would like the opportunity to talk to our officers directly about any aspect of our service, they are always happy to take your calls; their respective telephone numbers and email addresses are available on the website.

SCDC is one of only a handful of councils in the country to receive Customer Service Excellence accreditation - the Government's national standard for public bodies that display excellent customer service - across the whole organisation.
