Below is a summary timeline of key events in the development of Orchard Park to date:
- July 2011 Planning Committee resolution to permit 34 dwellings on land parcel H1, subject to satisfactory legal agreement being secured.
- July 2011 730 Occupations (429 market, 301 affordable)
- July 2011 Public consultation events for proposed Local Centre and Corner site schemes, to include approximately 800sqm of retail floorspace, POS 2 and 140 dwellings.
- April 2011 Revised planning application received for land parcel H1, featuring 34 market dwellings.
- October 2010 Planning permission granted for second hotel (Travelodge)
- October 2010 645 Occupations (345 market, 300 affordable)
- May 2010 SCDC's Planning and New Communities portfolio holders agree to proceed with next steps at K1
- May 2010 POS 1 play area and sports pitches open to the public

- March 2010 Joseph Rowntree - Sustainable Urban Neighbourhoods Network event held at Orchard Park
