COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Our role is to facilitate communities in developing and sustaining their own projects by providing grant aid, support and advice.
Our services include:
- Community development grants for local projects
- Funding for village consultation initiatives
- Ongoing support for Parish Councils and young people through various initiatives
- Involvement in Local Democracy initiatives, including e-democracy
- Information sharing and signposting.
As well as supporting community projects, we organise a range of district-wide initiatives. These include the Community Services Funding Toolkit, SCYPP (South Cambs Young People's Participation project), the South Cambs Debating Competition for Young People and the Community Services Projects Database.
Funding
- Funding Toolkit - a directory of grants available to community groups including Parish Councils
- Community Facility Grants - grants for community buildings and play equipment.
Grants to Voluntary Organisations
Available to voluntary and charitable organisations. Applications must be received by 18 January 07. Guidance notes for Grants to Voluntary Organisations 07/08 available on request..
