Play it safe this Halloween

Traditionally a night of fun and frolics, Halloween can be a frightening and intimidating experience for the more vulnerable or older members of our community.

Together with Cambridgeshire Police we are issuing a few simple steps to a trouble free evening:

• those not wishing to take part can display a 'no trick or treat' poster in a colour version or a black and white version
• if you are planning to go trick or treating, please leave residents not wishing to take part in peace
• children trick or treating should be in groups, accompanied by an adult with a mobile phone
• children should tell family where they are going, the route they will take and what time they will return
• police patrols will be increased to prevent anti-social behaviour and ensure the safety of everyone involved
