Application to licence a street collection under Police, Factories etc. (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1916

Collecting money in the street is a good way of raising funds for charity or events. Under the Street Collections Act 1972 the those who collect the money are required to be licensed.

The licence lasts as long as the dates you supply in your application.

You can apply online for this licence via Business Link (in partnership with EUGO). Simply create yourself an account (if not already registered) to complete the form.

If your application is successful you will receive your licence in the post. Contact will only be made if there is an issue with the application.

 

Supply a return for a street collection under Police, Factories etc. (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1916

Once the street collection licence has been granted and the collection has taken place, you must submit a collection statement of return. The return must be made within one month to us detailing the amounts collected.
