What is the licence for?

A scrap metal dealer licence is required by anyone who buys and sells scrap metal, and/or keeps a metal store under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 1964.

How long does the licence last?

A one-off registration fee is payable which licences the holder to trade in scrap metal within the South Cambridgeshire District council area.

What is the charge for this licence?

There is a registration fee for a motor salvage operator licence.
