House to house collections

Application for a house-to-house collection licence under House to House Collection Act 1939 and the House to House Regulations 1947

Collecting money by visiting houses is a popular way of raising money for charity or events. Under the House-to-House Collection Act 1939 those who undertake collections will need to be licensed.

The licence lasts as long as the dates you specify in your application.

There is no fee for this service.

If your application is successful you will receive the licence through the post. No contact will be made unless there is an issue with the application.

 

Supply a return for a house-to-house collection under House to House Collection Act 1939 and the House to House Regulations 1947

Once the house-to-house licence has been granted and the collection has taken place, the applicant must submit a collection statement of return. The return must be made within one month to us detailing the amounts collected.
