butchers licence
What is the Licence for?
A Butchers Licence is required for any premises that sells both raw meat and cooked (ready-to-eat) meat.
How long does the licence last?
The licence is renewable on an annual basis.
What is the charge for this licence?
There is a fee for this licence, please contact the licensing service.
How to apply
The South Cambridgeshire District Council food inspection team will visit your premises and advise you on the costs and requirements.
What happens after I've applied?
You must:
- Fill in the application form
- Send in the application form with payment
On receipt the licensing service will:
- Review the application
- Ensure the premise is registered as a food premises
- Arrange a site inspection
- Consider granting a licence if all criteria is adhered to.
